Focus on problem, then focus on solution

This is an instructive, motivational post on Google+:  The more we attend to what something - anything, even problems - can be, the better we position ourselves for something positive (opportunities, solutions).

But what does Theory of Algorithms say?

First, we do have to attend to the problem itself, and without getting caught up or entrapped in it, we must experience it and understand it sufficiently enough to solve it.  Sidestepping a problem that warrants attention risks worsening or repeating the problem.  Then, it makes sense to look specifically at ways to solve it.  As the post suggests, we must solve it with an open, positive mindset.  A hasty, pessimistic tact is not likely to do the trick.
